It is the lack of a sense of belonging which supports offending lifestyles based upon the feeling of having nothing to lose by it. However the reverse is also true when a sense of investment in their communities is present, they are more able to avoid being drawn back into an offending lifestyle because of having something or someone positive and important to them that they would lose. It could be YOU!
